The History in the Founders’ Own Words
Ready for Africa
We have always been travelers, entrepreneurs, and curious people.
In 2012, we began our journey in the fragrance industry and were fortunate enough to continue our training in the Middle East. There, perfume is part of the culture, and in every home, people know the ingredients, and the art of blending them is passed down from generation to generation.
Alongside multinational companies in the industry, we collaborate with long-established local brands, for which we coordinate the formulation and supply fragrances, while enjoying endless chats over tea.
The United Arab Emirates, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Lebanon, India, Pakistan… As our experience has grown, so too have the regions where we’ve worked, and we’ve begun traveling throughout East Africa and South Asia. It was an exciting time that taught us to open our eyes to other cultures, their scents, and their traditions.
At the end of 2018, the Mediterranean called us back, and we returned home, where we continue to travel while putting down roots.
That’s when we decided to take the plunge and share the experiences of all those years in a sustainable, human, and honest way. Now we distill our stories to extract their essence and preserve them through our fragrances. That’s how Botanicae was born. A home where we work and live life to the fullest so we can continue to surprise you.
